Meet the Maker

Meet Chad Whitworth, a United States Marine Corps combat veteran who found art therapy through the Veterans Administration. His journey into pottery began as a form of healing and creative expression.

 

Chad handcrafts his art in a home studio in Hartwell, Georgia. Each piece he creates reflects his life's experiences and passion for the craft. Chad specializes in horse hair raku firings and other specialty firing techniques. His pottery ranges from utilitarian, functional pieces that can be used daily to sculpted works of art.

Chad is a proud father of four sons and grandfather to three

wonderful grandchildren. His service dog, Judge, is the muse and mastermind behind all of Chad's best work.
